Agreement Costa Crociere, Iberocruceros and Renfe in order to facilitate the Spanish crocieristi that reach the ship via train



The crocieristiche companies Costa Crociere and Iberocruceros (brand of the group Coast) and the railway society Renfe have undersigned an agreement of commercial collaboration with the objective to reduce the times of travel, to increase comfort and the punctuality of the trains of the Spanish railway company used from the crocieristi in order to reach the boarding port and or in order to re-enter to the origin city.

Thanks to this cooperation the displacement in train on the traditional high-speed lines or over a long time span and medium range could be enclosed in the crocieristico package so that the passengers who do not live in the city harbour can reach the boarding via train without additional costs.

The agreement, which signed yesterday in the port of Barcelona on board of the Costa Magica cruise ship moored to the Palacruceros, the terminal that is managed by the group Coast (inforMARE on April 24, 2007), has been undersigned by Carlos López Bahillo, director marketing of Costa Crociere in Spain, Pedro Costa, commercial director of Iberocruceros, and Jesús de Juan Menchero, commercial responsible for Renfe.

Currently Renfe work 28 every day trains to high speed in each direction between Madrid and Barcelona that connects the two cities in little more than two hours. Moreover 15 Renfe trains to high speed connect Madrid and Valencia in half hour and 11 trains to high speed connects Madrid to Malaga in two hours and 30 minutes. The net of Renfe services for the Spanish crocieristici ports includes also four trains to high speed to the day between Seville and Malaga with Barcelona with time of distance of 5 hours and 30 minutes.
